How does Nick's statement "You're worth the whole bunch put together" show a change in Nick from the beginning of the novel?

Nick's statement, when he tells Gatsby how much he is worth shows that his opinion of him has change. At the beginning of the novel Nick had a strong dislike for Gatsby. As the novel comes to an end a connection has formed between Nick and Gatsby. Nick comes to respect and understand Gatsby. He cares for his friend. Nick and Gatbsy went from being strangers to close friends. He is now worth more to Nick than any other of his companions.

I agree with Dan. Also I believe that is shows that the overall way that Nick views people in general has changed. He has a better sense of good and Bad when it comes to people.

At first in the book, Nick made quick judgments on Gatsby without actually ever meeting him. Now at the end of the book, Nick has shown his maturity to get to know someone before he makes judgments.

In the beginning of the story Nick dislikes Gatsby, he says that Gatsby represents everything that he doesnt like. By this point in the Novel, Nick tells Gatby that he is worth more than any of his other companions. Nick and Gatsby have grown very close and Nick cares a lot for Gatsby and is very fond of him.
