In the novel, Tom, Daisy, and Gatsby are all wealthy. But they belong to different social classes. Shown through the book, it would be very nice to be in the social class of Tom and Daisy, who do not have to work for their wealth. They came from wealthy families, and are now able to get whatever they like. We learn that Gatsby had to work for his wealth, which would be more rewarding in the end. I think I would rather be in the social glass of Gatsby, work for your wealth while you are young, so you can enjoy it. This is because Tom and Daisy have always had whatever they wanted, and have always been miserable.

There are two classes of wealth in the setting of The Great Gatsby, the established upper class and the nouveau riche. Tom and Daisy belong to the established upper class which consists of people who were born rich. Gatsby is a part of the nouveau riche which are people who have become wealthy. I think that it would be nice and easy to have a life of luxury but i would want to belong to the nouveau riche. I believe that it is worth much more to be able to know that you made yourself successful than to know that you have what you have because you family were the ones who actually worked. No matter how hard it might be I would want to earn my wealth, prove that I deserve what I receive. In my opinion, the nouveau riche would be a much more respectable and enjoyable group to belong to.

There are two different types of wealth in this book. The ones who were born rich and the ones who had to work long and hard for their money. Tom, Daisy and Gatsby may all be wealthy people, but they all came from different social classes. Daisy and Tom did not have to work for the money they have, they were just born rich. As for Gatsby be, he worked long and hard for the money he has earned. If I were to be able to choose which social class I would want to fall under, it would be with Gatbsy. I would want to be able to say I worked for my money and not just have it given to me. I feel as though people would have more respect in me knowing I'm not a snobby rich person, that I earned the money I worked for.

If I was to choose which class i would like to live in, i would prefer to live in, i would definately choose the upper class. The class in which Daisy, Tom and Gatsby belong to. I owuld choose this class over the other, because of many obvious reasons. I would get to do whatever I wanted for much of the time. I would have loads of money. Another reason is because I would be able to make any kind of mess, and I would have people who would clean it up for me. I think living in the same class that Tom, Daisy and Gatsby live in would be awesome. You would really get to do anything you wanted and there would be almost no rules.

If i could choose to belong one of the two social classes it would be the nouveau riche. I would be part this class because the other class has been rich there whole life so they would be more judgemental because they have been privaleged there whole life.

The Buchanons and Gatsby are both very rich. But they came to their wealth in different ways. Tom did not have to work for his wealth but Gatsby had to work very hard for his wealth. If i could belong to one of these seocial classes i would choose Nouvea Rich because I would of had to work for my money and to me that makes it feel more deserving than just inheriting it from a dead family member.

I would want to belong to The class that Gatsby belongs to because although he is very rich, he works for it. Daisy and Tom just inhereted it. It would be nice to have money and not have to work for it, but i wouldnt want that. If i have a lot of money i feel like it would be more of a reward to me if i actually earned it and did not just have it handed to me like Daisy and Tom did. People like Tom and Daisy are very self centered and selfish because they never know what it is like to work for what you want. They are so used to getting thigs handed to them, that they do not appreciate what they have. Gatsby on the other hand, worked for his money. He is is a great person. He throws huge parties because he wants his wealth to make others happy and not just himself. I would rather work hard and be a genuine person like Gatsby instead of getting things handed to me and being selfish and rude people like Tom and Daisy.

In this novel there are different meanings of the higher classes, even thought Tom, Daisy, and Gatsby are all very welathy, they are two different types of rich people. Daisy married Tom because his family was wealthty, and hers was as well. But Gatsby on the other hand started out with nothing, and had to work his way up the social ladder. If I had to chose I would like to work for my belongings, like Gatsby. He has a very different view on life and knows that it is hard, but he was willing to work for it. Daisy and Tom on the other hand had everything given to them.

Perhaps the most wealthy characters include Daisy Tom and Gatsby. Tom and daisy did not have to do much for their money, when gatsby worked for many years to obtain his. If it was my choice i would rather be in Gatsby's social class because i would be more proud of myself to be able to say i obtained my money all by myself by working hard. As Darek said, it would be much more rewarding.

Out of the two classes; the established upper class and the nouveau riche. When I think upper class I think of Tom and Daisy, and when I think of Tom and Daisy I think selfishness. They didn't have to work a day in their lives, they don't know what it's like to struggle or to hurt financially. Gatsby shed blood sweat and tears to get to where he was during the time of the novel. He worked hard everyday until he could reap the benifits of his success. I would rather be in the class of the nouveau rich. Whats the point of having money if you don't know its true value?

I would want to be in the social class of Tom and Daisy. They didnt have to work fot their wealth like Gatsby did. Everything comes easy to them and they dont have to worry about anything. Everything they own is very expensive. It would be nice to have expensive things and not have to worry about the price.

I would prefer to live with the established upper class because I would not have to work and would have no care in the world. Gatsby in the nouveau riche was constantly on the phone with Meyer Wolfsheim doing business transactions. Meanwhile Tom and Daisy are laying about the house and playing polo.

I would pick the social class of Gatsby. I would be able to know that I worked to get to where I am and I would have a greater appreciation.

I would rather be apart of the nouveau rich because then i think it would be much more rewarding. I would rather work and be able to enjoy what i worked for then just have everything handed to me so that the money has no real meaning to me.

I would rather be part of the established upper class for several reasons. For one, you know that you will always be wealthy, I think. I also would feel like I would belong among other wealthy people. As for the newer wealthy people like Gatsby, they would be criticized by the established wealthy people. That would be annoying to me because I could have equal or even more money. Also, it would be better to be a wealthy person who is established because you would not have to get your name out there because your wealth has already done that for you. The newer wealthy people have to earn a reputation which can be difficult.

I would much rather be in the same social group as Gatsby. If I were rich I would rather people not be in my business. I wouldnt want people to know everything about my life. I would not want people to envy me either.

I would rather be apart of the nouveau class. I want people to respect me for i personally earned. A life of glamour is great, but i much rather prefer a life of what i give myself in the nouveau class.

Being born into wealth is always a great thing. You can do anything you want in life and not worry about money. But, people may look down on you because you did not earn your money. For this reason i would much rather be a part of the nouveau riche class where I am known for working hard for my money.

I would want to belong to the class Gatsby is in. This class is the one with the wealthy people who are not only wealthy but control most of the area and have more power than just a wealthy person. This is a much more power class and it would aloww me to be more free and do what i please with all the money i'd have.

The two social clsses in the novel are the upper calss, with Tom and Daisy, and the Noveau riche class, which is the class the Gatsby is in. The upper class is the class where the people got their money from their family. They didn'y have to work for it. The noveau riche class is the class where the people had to work for their wealth. They now can enjoy it after deserving to enjoy it. Even though the Noveau riche class sounds like one that people would respect more, i would like to be in the upper class because it invloves very little work at all. Basically its like you win the lottery. You just get a lot of money and expensive things, for nothing.

In the book, there are 2 different classes of wealthy people. Tom and Daisy belong to the upper class and Gatsby belongs to the nouveau riche. If I were to choose one of these classes it would be the nouveau riche class because it wouldn't feel right to have all that money without earning it first. I would also not want to be a spoiled brat like most of the rich people are.
