Tom and Gatsby, both extremely wealthy characters in the novel, are quite different from each other. This is proved throughout the story as certain events occur. Tom has characteristics of being very arrogant and powerful, while Gatsby is the complete opposite. Tom also seems to have no morals and will cheat on his wife and not feel guilty for his actions. Tom and Gatsby are quite different, because Gatsby is kind and actually loves Daisy, while Tom just uses her and does not actually care about her. To Tom, Daisy is just another possession. This proves how different Tom and Gatsby are and how much of a better person Gatsby is.

Tom and Gatsby can be both very similar but yet very much different. One way they are both similar is by their wealth. TOm and Gatsby are the two most wealthy people in this book. They are also alike because of the women they choose. Both of them like Daisy. One way they are both different is by the way they carrying themselves as people. TOm comes off as a stubborn cocky rich person and Gatsby comes off as a very caring, quiet, outgoing person. I can see why Daisy loves Gatsby more than Tom. The only reason why Daisy married TOm was because rich girls don't marry poor boys.

Tom and Gatsby are a lot in common. They also have many differences. Both Tom and Gatsby are rich. They both have alot of money and are able to live comfortably. They are able to get many women because of the money that they make. They are also both in love with Daisy. They are very different as well. For example, Tom likes to go out and away from his wife so that he can cheat on her with Myrtle. Gatsby would never do anything like that to any woman of his. Gatsby is very kind and willing to do anything for anyone at anytime. Tom is very selfish and arrogant, and doesn't like to do that much for anyone except his self.

Tom and Gatsby are alike and different and many ways. Tom and Gatsby are alike because they are both very wealthy and they get alot of women because of it. Unlike Tom Gatsby has a love for Daisy and has waited for her almost his whole life while Tom has no love for Daisy and goes behind her back and cheats.

The characters of Tom and Gatsby are very significant opponents in the story with many differences but also some similarities. A key way in which the two men are similar is their wealth. both men are very well off with big houses and plenty of money. The difference though is that Tom was born rich as Gatsby worked for his luxury. Personality is also a big difference between the two. Tom is a very aggressive person with not much of a conscience, and one how has very short temper. Gatsby on the other hand always seems he is in a good mood. In fact the only time Gatsby actually shows any extreme emotion when he is practically shaking as he waits for daisy. Gatsby is most always cool and collected when Tom is ready to fight whenever he is opposed. The major connection between Gatsby and Tom is Daisy. Tom is actually married to Daisy but he does not care for her like Gatsby does. Tom just thinks of Daisy as another rich companion who will always stay with him. He does not even love daisy enough to think twice abut cheating on her. Gatsby is much different tom in this respect. Gatsby thinks about nothing but daisy. he bought a house just to be close to her, he has parties hoping she will come and he stares at the light on her dock just so he can believe they are still close. Gatsby has always loved daisy and after he finally meets her again and they are together he will do anything o keep her and love her forever. Gatsby wants her because he loves her, tom only wants her because he doesn't want anyone else to have her. Tom and Gatsby may have some thing in common but it is their drastic differences that separate them greatly as people.

Tom and Gatsby are two completely different people. Gatsby is a very generous peron and cares about the people around him. He worked for everything that he had. He was also madly in love with daisy and would do anything for her. In contrast, Tom was very self centered and did things only for himself. He did not work for what he had, he just inhereted his wealth. Tom was married to Daisy but did not treat her like he loved her. He was very mean to her and he had another on the side. Gatsby was a great person and Tom was not.

Gatsby is a very wealthy man who has come through his wealth by working while it seems Tom does not work for his money. Also they are both in love with DAisy. Gatsby seems to be more in love than TOm because Tom seems to see her as a possesion that he had won while Gatsby has a love and passion for her that tom does not seem to have.

Tom comes from a very wealthy family, and had everything handed to him. He is selfish, unloyal, ignorant, very hypocritical and only want to suit his needs. He was with another woman even thought he was married to Daisy. All he wanted was to be happy, and did not care about anyone else but himself. Gatsby is very kind, caring, thoughtful, and loving. He has always cared about Daisy and was willing to do anything to get her back. He had many parties for people he did not even know most of the time, and he always made sure everyone was fine.

Each of these men play an extremly important role in the novel. Gatsby is the glue of the novel, with out him there would not have been a story to tell. And Tom is a character that everyone loves to hate. Gatsby is a man that is true to form. He was always the man that he said he was, and even though he seemed a little shady at times, the fact that he was a good person overpowered the fact that he might have done bad business. Tom is a lyer and a cheater. He does not care who he hurts just as long as he is happy. He is intelligent, but evil at the same time. He has the ability to love, but he is only loving for his own self interest, Whereas Gatsby has true love. They are seemingly alike in the fact that they bith like to get what they want.

Tom and Gatsby can be easily compaired in the novel. Though they are both extremely wealthy, they have much different personalities. Tom seems to only care about his happiness and not others. the reader can understand this after the repeated affair with mrytle. gatsby on the other hand is much more caring of others. He likes to watch his partyy guests have fun instead of actually joining them. lastly Gatsby also had real love for Daisy, when tom did not seem to actually care about her

Tom and Gatsby are similar in the fact that they are both extremely wealthy but they are different in the fact that Tom is very arrogant and greedy. He only cares about himself, like for example cheating on Daisy. Gatsby is kind and caring, especially towards Daisy, something that Tom doesn't do. He also shows Nick what a good friend is and shares his wealth with him, also something that Tom has failed to do. All in all I'd say Gatsby is a better person than Tom

Tom and Gatsby are both very competitive men. Gatsby has loved Daisy since before Tom even knew her and that just cripples him every time he looks at Tom and knows of his infidelity. Tom is blatantly cheating on Daisy and does not do much to cover it up from his wife. Tom's obvious lack of care for his wife totally dissipates when he realizes that he has to fight for her. If anything Tom is fighting Gatsby because in his eyes Daisy is his property. Tom is a bit more unmoral than Gatsby even though Gatsby's entire fortune is based on gambling because he did it to earn Daisy's love.

Tom and Gatsby are both wealthy but at the same time they are very different people. Tom got all his money from his family, while Gatsby had to work for his money and is better for it. Tom is very greedy and while get as much of what he can when he can even when it comes to women since he is cheating on Daisy. Gatsby is less greedy and has waited all his life for one girl. Also Tom is much more angry and aggressive while Gatsby is calm and kind.

Tom and Gatsby are bigger opposites than hot and cold. The only similarity is that they are both rich beyond their control. Tom does not respect women at all, as Gatsby shows how much he cares for women. Tom likes to be known and seen by everyone, as Gatsby tries to remain low key. Tom almost hates his wife Daisy, while Gatsby has an obsession with her. Lastly Gatsby shares his wealth through helping people financially and having parties, on the other hand Tom keeps it to himself and people who are close to him.

Tom and Gatsby are mostly different than eachother. The only two things that I can think of that make them alike is there relation to Daisy and their extreme wealth. Other than that, they are two opposite characters. Tom seems like a liar to me. He lies about everythig and is also a cheater. Gatsby is a very honest man and is not a cheater at all. Tom is a very angry person and gets very frustrated easily. Gatsby is not. He is calm and very to himself. I do not think I saw Gatsby at a rage once in the book.

Tom and GAtsby are both rich but very different. As i said they are both rich and they both are love, with the same girl. Tom is immoral, he cheats on his wife, while Gatsby isnt married but he doesn't disrespect women. In my opinion Gatsby is better man than Tom is.

Tom and Gatsby are very different people. Tom is a very over zealous man and he is an abvious hypocrite. He cheats on his wife Daisy for a long time and when Daisy and Gatsby try to renew their love again he becomes furious and jealous. Gatsby on the other hand is a man of great wisdom and is only searching for love and doesn't care for anything else.

Tom and Gatsby compare and can contrast based on the Novel, The Great Gatsby. The two can compare because of their wealth. Both characters are extremely wealthy and show that they arte with their things. Both have huge houses, right across from eachother in New York, and both sort of brag at times about their wealth. Tom does when Nick goes to his house for the first time, and Gatsby does when Daisy goes for the tour of the house. The two contrast because of Daisy. Tom cheats on Daisy and can't stand her. He doesn't like Daisy at all. Gatsby on the other hand is so deeply in love with Daisy, that he stands on his porch every night and watches the green light on her dock. He also makes a scrapbook of her. That to me is a lot of love. They are also different because of how they act. Gatsby is a very nice guy who tries to help people out. He tries to share his wealth. Examples of this is when he asks Nick if he wants a job. Another example is when he buys that women a $250 dollar dress when she riped it at Gatsby's party. Nick on the other hand beats Myrtle and cheats on Daisy and is just a mean guy

Tom and Gatsby are very wealthy characters in the novel, but they both have some major differences. One thing is that Tom is a very angry person with no self control and Gatsby is a very calm and peaceful type of person. Another differance is that Tom was always rich, but Gatsby earned his wealth. Another one is that Gatsby loves Daisy and Tom doesn't even though she is his wife.
