Meyer Wolfsheim claims to be the man who fixed the 1919 World Series. Because him and Gatsby are such friends it leads Nick to believe that Gatsby is a seedy character. The focus on Meyer's nose tells the reader that Fitzgerald or Nick only focused on religion and may even be anti-semetic.
Meyer Wolfsheim was the man who was said to have fixed the 1919 World Series. Gatsby and Wolfsheim seem to be very good friends. As Ian said, the emphasis on Wolfsheim's nose shows that Nick and/or Fitzgerald are somewhat steryotyping against Meyer.

Meyer Wolfsheim has susposedly influenced the 1919 World Series.I agree that the emphasis on Meyer's nose is steryotyping by Nick and Fitzgerald.
