At the beginning of the novel, Nick briefly mentions a character named Gatsby. Nick portrays him as the hero of the story. He continues to describe Gatsby by saying that Gatsby represents everything he ridicules, but Gatsby is different. He decides to excuse Gatsby from how he usually criticizes and views others. He decides to do this because he describes Gatsby as having the perfect personality, a gorgeous and beautiful one. To me, Gatsby must be a really incredible person, one you will not easily forget.

The narrator only talks of Gatsby for a short time. He says that Gatsby represented everything that he hated. He also says that Gatsby's personality was "gorgeous".

The narrator describes Gatsby in a peculiar manner. he states that Gatsby represents everything he hates. Of the same person however he says has a gorgeous personality. He reveals he admiration for Gatsby for the qualities that he possesses and Nick know he will never have the privilege of having. This envy forced Nick to exempt his usual judgement from Gatsby.

The way that the narrator describes Gatsby shows that he is not really sure what to think of him at the time. The narrator describes Gatsby as "gorgeous", but at the same time he also said that Gatsby is everything he ridicules. The narrator thinks of Gatsby in different points of views.

The narrator describes Gatsby in a special way. He makes Gatsby out to be everything that he hates. Yet he says that Gatsby's personality is "gorgeous."

Dan McCarthy is right to say that Nick is jealous of Gatsby but the jealousy is so deep that it has evolved into loathing. He both wishes that he could be as lucrative as Gatsby but resents the fact that he will never be able to. This resentment is what makes him furthur criticized Gatsby.

Gatsby is mentioned in the start, the narrator describes him as great in personality and life. He also says how he satnds for the things he has an unaffected scorn for. From this i would say the gatsby is an importan person to him.

The narrator descibes Gatsby in different ways. He contradicts himself because at first he says that Gatsby represents everything that he ridicules, but later he goes on to say that Gatsby has the perfect personality. He describes him as "gorgeous"

In the novel, the narrator Nick describes Gatsby in a manner that may be confussing to the reader. At first he describes him as someone who represents everything he dislikes. As he continues, he then describes him as gorgeous, which may show some jealousy towards him as Dan and Ian said above. I am interested on learning more about Gatsby

Gatsby is brought up only for a little while. Nick describes Gatsby as what he hated, but at the same time said that he envied his gorgeous personality. Gatsby is not criticized the same way other people would be by Nick because Nick actually admires Gatsby.

In the book The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Nick, very briefly describes the character Gatsby. He says," Gatsby was the man who gives his name to this book, for that, he was exempt from his reaction." Gatsby represented everything for which he has an unaffected scorn. He also mentioned how he is such a responsible and perfect peron.

The narrator has different ways to describe Gatsby, which makes it hard for the reader to view him as well. He says the Gatsby's personality is "gorgeous" but has many other ways to describe him.

Nick first describes Gatsby as representin everything that he has unaffected scorn for. But after explaining that nick goes on to tell the reader that "He tuned out all right." After this breif mentioning he is shortly brought up at the Buchanan's, but is quckly brushed away. Then at the very end of the chapter Nick sees him. Nick sees his silloute in the dark, but he quickly dissappears.

Nick says that hes despises Gatsby yet he is exempt from any of his judgments. He contributes this to his "gorgeous" personality. Gatsby seems to be Nick's hero who will be later a big part in the story.

The narrator first describes Gatsby as everything for which he has an unaffected scorn for. But then says his personality is "gorgeous". This could be confusing to the reader because of how he changed his mind.

The Narrator barely describes Gatsby in the beginning of the book. The main character Nick describes Gatsby as a large party mogule and a man with a "gorgeous" personality.
