The narrator's house is at West Egg. He talks about how his house is at the "very tip of the egg", and is squeezed between two larger houses, including Gatsby's mansion. Nick describes his house as being over looked, but he has a nice view of the water and partial view of his neighbor's lawn.

Nick's home is located at the very tip of the West Egg. Which is about fifty yards from the sound. He describes his home as being an "eyesore," but he has a view of the neighbor's lawn, the water, and he gets to live with millionares. All for eighty dollars a month.
